Besiktas, a top club in the Turkish Süper Lig, has named Fiorentina midfielder Rolando Mandragora as a potential replacement for Super Eagles star Wilfred Ndidi, amid growing uncertainty about the Nigerian’s future at the club.

Ndidi, who joined the Black and Whites from Leicester City, is the focus of increasing transfer speculation ahead of the 2026/2027 season, with several Saudi Pro League clubs reportedly monitoring his situation.

Although his time at Besiktas has been brief, the experienced midfielder has delivered a number of strong performances and quickly became a key leader in the locker room.

Saudi interest has alarmed the club’s management, prompting them to explore alternatives should Ndidi decide to leave Istanbul this summer.

According to the Turkish publication Turkiye Gazetesi, Besiktas has turned its attention to Fiorentina’s Rolando Mandragora as a viable substitute for Ndidi.

The report states that Besiktas manager Vincenzo Italiano has personally backed the Italian midfielder, citing their previous collaboration and his familiarity with Mandragora’s abilities.

Besiktas is said to have already contacted Fiorentina to learn about Mandragora’s contract status and the conditions required for a transfer.

Fiorentina is reportedly open to negotiations but has set a valuation of around €10 million for the midfielder.

While no formal offer has been made yet, talks between the two clubs are expected to intensify in the coming days.
