Nigerian winger signs for Romanian club Universitatea Cluj.

Romanian Superliga club Universitatea Cluj has confirmed the signing of Friday Adams, Completesports.com reports.

Adams previously played for fellow Romanian side FC Botoșani, where he spent three seasons.

The 23‑year‑old began his career in Nigeria at the Ikon Allah Kaduna academy, and his development attracted the attention of the Russian youth team at FDC Vista.

His first major breakthrough came with Armenian club FC Noah, where he made 35 appearances, scored two goals and provided one assist.

During his time at Noah, he showcased his potential in both defensive duties and transitional play.

After moving to FC Botoșani in 2023, Adams adapted quickly to the demands of the Superliga.

Over his spell with the club, he made more than 80 appearances across all competitions, contributing effectively at both ends of the pitch from wide areas.

Renowned for his energy, tactical awareness and versatility, Adams is capable of operating as a right‑back or in midfield.
