ABUJA — The All Progressives Congress (APC) has formally congratulated Governor Biodun Oyebanji on his re‑election as Governor of Ekiti State, calling the result “historic” and “epic.”

In a statement released Sunday in Abuja by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, the APC noted that Oyebanji’s victory marks the first occasion an incumbent governor has secured a second term in Ekiti’s contemporary democratic history.

The party said the outcome reflects the strong confidence of Ekiti residents in his leadership, describing it as a validation of his “people‑centered policies” and commitment to development.

It also praised the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), security agencies, and other stakeholders for what it described as a professional and well‑conducted electoral process.

Additionally, the APC commended Ekiti citizens for their peaceful conduct and active participation during the election, noting their continued support for the party and its progressive agenda.

APC expressed optimism that Oyebanji’s second term would bring further development and improved living standards, adding that his administration would deepen the gains of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda in the state.
