Oyo State Police Command announced the arrest of two suspected armed robbers.

The command also disclosed that it recovered firearms and other items from the suspects.

The statement was signed by the command’s Public Relations Officer, Olayinka Ayanlade.

DAILY POST received the statement on Sunday.

Ayanlade explained that the suspects were arrested on 15 June 2026.

He identified the suspects as Ibrahim Mohammed Dabban and Ndako Sulaimon, both residents of the Sabo area of Sagamu, Ogun State.

Ayanlade added that the arrests took place along the Oyo/Ogbomoso axis.

The suspects are currently in police custody.

“In furtherance of these proactive crime‑prevention measures, operatives of the Safer Highway Patrol attached to the Oyo/Ogbomoso axis, on 15 June 2026 at approximately 10:48 a.m., intercepted a gold‑coloured Nissan Maxima vehicle with registration number FKJ 666 KA during routine patrol operations,” Ayanlade said.

“Consequently, two male suspects identified as Ibrahim Mohammed Dabban and Ndako Sulaimon, both residents of the Sabo area of Sagamu, Ogun State, were taken into custody and transferred for comprehensive investigation.”

“Acting swiftly on this intelligence, operatives extended the investigation to Ogun State, where coordinated operations led to the recovery of two pump‑action rifles, three live cartridges and one expended cartridge from locations associated with the suspects and the alleged supplier.”
