Brazil’s head coach, Carlo Ancelotti, confirmed that Neymar will be selected for the team’s final group match against Scotland.
Neymar has been recuperating from a calf injury he suffered before the tournament began.
The Santos FC forward was absent from Brazil’s first two matches, against Morocco and Haiti.
Brazil drew 1‑1 with Morocco and then defeated Haiti 3‑0 earlier today.
After Brazil’s victory over Haiti, Ancelotti told reporters, quoted by Fabrizio Romano, that Neymar would train alone tomorrow, rejoin the squad on Sunday, and then be selected for the match against Scotland.
Neymar remains Brazil’s all‑time leading scorer, having netted 79 goals for the national side.
