Police Rescue Ex‑Minister Adelabu’s Sister and Sons

A video showing the Nigerian Police’s rescue operation for the younger sister of former Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, and her 12‑year‑old twin sons, Peter and Paul, has appeared online.

According to Daily Post, the victims were released after a police operation on Saturday.

The operation ended with a gunfight in which two suspected kidnappers were neutralised and two firearms were seized from the group.

Earlier reports from Daily Post noted that Mrs. Olaide Busayo Adegoke John‑Paul and her children were abducted on Tuesday while they were on their way to drop the children at school.

Police officials said that sustained intelligence gathering and tactical pressure forced the kidnappers into a confrontation with officers, leading to the successful rescue of the victims.
