Prosecutors in the trial of six men charged with aiding a plot to overthrow the President Bola Tinubu administration have requested that a Federal High Court in Abuja allow the defendants’ statements to investigators to be admitted as evidence.

During the trial‑within‑trial that seeks to determine whether the statements were voluntary, the prosecution’s fourth witness presented the request and told the court that the defendants made the statements freely, without any torture or harassment.
