Former England striker Alan Shearer criticized Gabriel Magalhães after Brazil’s 1-1 World Cup draw with Morocco over the weekend.
Shearer said he was not impressed with the Arsenal defender’s performance, describing him as shaky and slow.
Morocco opened the scoring through Ismaël Saïbari in the first half, before Vinícius Júnior equalised for Brazil.
“He’s looked shaky, Gabriel, today,” Shearer said during the BBC’s coverage of the match.
“On two or three occasions, the ball has gone out, and I thought he could have attacked it and he didn’t. He’s been slow.”
“Certainly, with the goal in the first half, the gap between him and Marquinhos was huge.”
