Marc Cucurella is set to complete a surprise transfer from Chelsea to Real Madrid this summer.

The Premier League club confirmed the move in a statement released on Monday morning.

“Marc Cucurella has completed a permanent transfer to Spanish La Liga side Real Madrid,” the statement read.

“Everyone at Chelsea FC would like to thank Marc for his efforts during his time at the club and for the role he played in our recent achievements,” it added.

The clubs agreed on a €55 million fee with an additional €5 million in add‑ons.

Cucurella will sign a contract with the Santiago Bernabéu that runs until June 2032.
