Championship club joins chase for Nwaiwu

West Ham United are the latest club linked with a move for Trabzonspor defender Chibuike Nwaiwu, Completesports.com reports.

Nwaiwu, 22, joined Trabzonspor from Austrian club Wolfsberger AC during the winter transfer window.

The centre‑back drew attention with his consistent performances for the Claret and Blues, earning praise from several clubs.

The Nigeria international recorded three goals and one assist in 16 league appearances for Fatih Tekke’s side.

He also played a key role in Trabzonspor’s Turkish Cup triumph.

Clubs Battle For Nwaiwu

Trabzonspor have reportedly turned down two bids from Fulham for the former Enyimba defender.

Bayer Leverkusen, a Bundesliga club, have also shown interest in Nwaiwu.

According to Turkish outlet Taka Gazete, West Ham United have seen a €30 million bid for the player rejected by Trabzonspor.

The report adds that the Black Sea Storm are demanding €35 million before they will consider selling Nwaiwu.
