Edo Queens head coach Moses Aduku has prepared his squad for the final match of the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) against Bayelsa Queens, according to Completesports.com.
The Benin City club sits atop the standings with nine points from four games and will aim to preserve their advantage.
The 2024 champions began the season with a loss but have since won their next three matches, showing a strong recovery.
Bayelsa Queens and Nasarawa Amazons each have seven points and are also in the title race.
Nasarawa Amazons will face Rivers Angels in the season’s final fixture.
Aduku urged his players to stay focused on the field ahead of the clash with the Prosperity Girls.
“I want to give kudos to my girls for playing to instruction and also for believing in ourselves that we could bounce back after that opening defeat,” Aduku said.
“We are not celebrating yet. Our focus completely shifts to Bayelsa Queens – that’s all I can say for now. We know we have one final hurdle to clear against a very tough opponent who happen to be the defending champions,” Aduku warned.
