NPFL: Ilechukwu to bolster Rangers squad for the 2026/27 season

Rangers technical adviser Fidelis Ilechukwu said his priority is to strengthen the squad in preparation for the 2026‑27 season.

The Flying Antelopes confirmed Ilechukwu’s future by extending his contract for an additional year on Saturday.

The extension places the coach at the helm as the club gears up for the Nigeria Premier Football League and the CAF Champions League.

Ilechukwu guided Rangers to their ninth NPFL title last season.

The victory earned the Enugu‑based club a return to Africa’s premier club competition after several years away.

“We are focused and ready to give our best, especially now that we are returning to continental football,” Ilechukwu told Owosports.

“We are working hard to strengthen the squad and ensure that Rangers remain competitive at the highest level.”
