EPL: Cole urges Alonso to keep two Chelsea players, preventing their departure.

Former Chelsea midfielder Joe Cole has called on new manager Xabi Alonso to prevent two players from leaving the club.

In an interview with The Daily Mail, Cole urged Alonso to keep Enzo Fernández and Marc Cucurella at Stamford Bridge.

Both Cucurella and Fernández have been linked with a move to Real Madrid. Cucurella has already agreed to join the Spanish club this summer, while Fernández could also depart the Blues.

"If I’m Xabi Alonso, I want to keep both of them," Cole said.

"I’d rather sell four or five other players to get that money in. Because so much money has been wasted at Chelsea, no player is untouchable; every player has a price, because it’s run as a business," he added.
