Chelsea has signaled that it is open to offers for Alejandro Garnacho this summer following a disappointing season at Stamford Bridge.
The Argentina international, once regarded as one of Manchester United’s brightest prospects, fell out of favour under former United manager Ruben Amorim.
Chelsea paid £40 million for Garnacho last summer, hoping the winger who grew up supporting the club could revive his career there. However, he spent most of the campaign on the fringes, starting only 14 Premier League matches and scoring once.
Co‑captains Enzo Maresca, Liam Rosenior and Calum McFarlane have all expressed doubts about Garnacho, despite his long‑term contract that runs until 2032.
According to the Daily Mail (via Metro), the club is already considering a sale before the summer transfer window opens, suggesting Garnacho is likely to depart well before his contract expires.
Chelsea is looking for a versatile attacker, and one reason for the potential sale is that the club is willing to be patient with £52 million summer signing Jamie Gittens, whose first season was hampered by injuries.

With Xabi Alonso appointed as manager last month, the former Liverpool and Real Madrid midfielder will take charge at the start of July. Alonso intends to bring in two or three “ready‑made” players this summer, but Chelsea also needs to offload several stars from an over‑staffed squad.
The Daily Mail lists Garnacho, Filip Jorgensen, Axel Disasi, and either Liam Delap, Marc Guiu or Nicolas Jackson as likely or possible departures. Enzo Fernandez and Marc Cucurella have been heavily linked with summer moves, but Chelsea is not actively seeking to sell them.
Fernandez is eager to leave amid interest from Manchester City and Real Madrid, yet Chelsea would demand a staggering £120 million to part with the midfielder.
