Arne Slot has declined an offer from Fulham to become their next manager, according to talkSPORT.

The Dutchman was dismissed by Liverpool last week, and Andoni Iraola was named as his successor on Thursday.

Fulham are searching for a new manager after Marco Silva left to join Benfica.

Slot had attracted interest from the Cottagers, but he has turned down the chance to move to west London.

talkSPORT reported earlier in the week that Ipswich Town boss Kieran McKenna is also interested in the Fulham vacancy.

McKenna has an £8 million release clause in his contract at Ipswich following their promotion to the Premier League.

Former Brentford and Tottenham Hotspur head coach Thomas Frank has been mentioned as another possibility.

Frank has ruled out returning to the top flight, stating he will not take a new job this summer.

Slot was sacked as Liverpool head coach just a year after leading them to the Premier League title.

Dutch football journalist Marcel van der Kraan told talkSPORT that the former Feyenoord boss was surprised by the decision.

He is said to have no ill‑feeling towards Liverpool.

Slot has been linked with AC Milan since leaving Liverpool, but he may also be considering international management.
