Former Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has announced his predictions for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, naming the champion, runner‑up and Golden Boot winner.
The tournament will begin next week and will be staged across Mexico, Canada and the United States.
According to Wilshere’s statements shared by The Sun football on X, he believes England will lift the trophy.
He also forecasts France to finish as runners‑up, and expects England captain Harry Kane to claim the Golden Boot.
England will compete in Group L against Croatia, Ghana and Panama.
Manager Thomas Tuchel has already named his 26‑man squad for the event. Notable omissions include Trent Alexander‑Arnold, Harry Maguire, Phil Foden and Cole Palmer.
