Côte d’Ivoire head coach Emerse Fae expressed deep disappointment after his team lost to Germany in their FIFA World Cup 2026 match, according to the DAILY POST.
The Elephants were defeated 2‑1 by Julian Nagelsmann’s side at Toronto Stadium on Saturday night.
Franck Kessie gave Côte d’Ivoire an early lead.
Germany’s substitute Deniz Undav then scored twice in the second half, securing a place in the Round of 32.
Fae said he was frustrated that the team could not maintain their advantage.
“It’s more frustration that we’re feeling after this defeat, because we were able to open the score against this strong German side,” Fae told reporters.
