World Cup 2026: African Nations Qualified for the Round of 32

Nine of the ten African teams have secured a place in the Round of 32 of the current FIFA World Cup.

The qualified nations are DR Congo, South Africa, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Senegal, Egypt, Cape Verde, Morocco, and Algeria.

Only Tunisia was eliminated, finishing last in Group F with no points.

According to DAILY POST, Algeria became the most recent African side to advance to the Round of 16.

This milestone followed a 3‑3 draw with Austria early in the day.

Algeria advanced to the last‑32 as one of the best third‑place teams, having earned four points from three matches.

In Group J, Algeria finished third behind Argentina and Austria.
