Federal Capital Territory Minister Nyesom Wike issued a stern warning to property owners, urging them not to develop land without proper legal documentation, and emphasized the need to safeguard the Abuja Master Plan.
He delivered the remarks on Tuesday during the official flag‑off ceremony for the two service carriageways of the Southern Parkway in Gaduwa District, Abuja.
The minister pledged that every illegal property along the project corridor would be removed.
He instructed officials from the Development Control Department and the Lands Department to promptly identify and remove all illegally erected structures.
“Any illegal structure along the corridor will be removed. We must protect the integrity of the Abuja Master Plan,” he warned.
He accused certain developers of forging documents and encroaching on government land, adding that their plots would not be viable.
“Those who have forged documents and encroached on government land should know that it will not work,” Wike added.
