Waiting for government approval to remove terrorists from the Southwest – Sunday Igboho

Yoruba nation activist Sunday Adeyemo, known as Sunday Igboho, says he is patiently awaiting the Federal Government’s approval to remove terrorists and other criminals from the South‑West.

Igboho stated that his security outfit, Iru Ekun Security Network, is ready to commence operations aimed at flushing out terrorists and other criminal elements from forests across the South‑West.

The activist also confirmed that he will fully comply with the Executive Order recently issued by the Oyo State Government, which regulates the activities of private security organisations operating within the state.

In a statement released on Monday, Igboho reiterated that all required documentation and procedural prerequisites for the approval of Iru Ekun Security Network had already been submitted to the Federal Government.

He praised President Bola Tinubu for what he described as a firm commitment to strengthening Nigeria’s security architecture, particularly in the South‑West.

“We have submitted all the required documents for our registered security firm, Iru Ekun Security Network, and are only waiting for the Federal Government approval which will be granted soon,” Igboho said.

“We are absolutely ready to collaborate with the police, Department of State Service, DSS, Nigeria Army, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, and other relevant stakeholders in the security sector to flush out terrorists, kidnappers, bandits, and other hoodlums, who are threatening the peace and safety of our people, most especially in rural communities,” he added.
