Accreditation and voting began in several parts of Ekiti State on Saturday, with both older and younger voters taking part in the electoral process.
At Polling Unit 015, Registration Area 2, in Ado Ekiti Local Government Area, the process started at about 8:30 a.m. One of the early voters was 56‑year‑old Ojo Omowumi Hannah, who cast her ballot from a wheelchair.

Similarly, voting was underway at Polling Unit 03, Ward 6, in Ekiti West Local Government Area, where an elderly woman was observed casting her vote.

At Open Space Akinlaja Hall, Polling Unit 011, Atiba Aafin, Ward 01, Ikere Ekiti, 20‑year‑old voter Adesola Bello said she turned out to vote because of her desire for good governance.
“I am interested in good governance; that is why I came out to vote for the candidate of my choice. I want the government to empower physically challenged persons in society,” she said.
