Zimbabwe head coach Kaitano Tembo has stated that his side is fully prepared for the Unity Cup semi‑final against Nigeria’s Super Eagles.
The Warriors, making their first appearance in the invitational tournament, will face the Super Eagles for a spot in the final at the Valley on Tuesday.
Tembo’s team has played the Super Eagles twice in the past two years, with both encounters in Rubavu and Uyo ending in draws.
He emphasized that the focus will be on winning the current match rather than past results.
“I think this is a different game, a different scenario, different situation as well. We need to try, and prepare well, and forget about the previous results,” Tembo said before the game.
“We have to go out there and give our all to win, and not dwell on the previous results.”
