UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer Resigns

UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer has stepped down from his roles as Prime Minister and leader of the Labour Party.

He made the announcement in a statement issued outside 10 Downing Street on Monday, explaining that his decisions while in office had been driven by what he believed to be in the best interests of the nation.

“Every decision I have made has been about putting the country I love first,” he said.

Starmer also took the opportunity to thank his family, describing his wife, Vic, as his rock and expressing love for his children, whom he called his pride and joy.
