UCL Final: Thierry Henry explains Gabriel's penalty against PSG

Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has expressed his surprise at the decision for defender Gabriel Magalhães to take the decisive penalty in the Champions League final, which ended in a defeat for the Gunners against Paris Saint‑Germain on Saturday.

Gabriel missed his spot kick as PSG secured the Champions League title in Budapest.

Eberechi Eze was the first player from Mikel Arteta’s side to miss a penalty.

“I always say when you go and take the penalty, I will always have respect for you,” Henry told CBS Sports.

“I don’t know why he [Gabriel] went, I don’t know how he arrived to be the fifth guy in, but he went.”

“How he played all season and tonight was immense. But he missed it. But he didn’t hide.”
