Two masked men shoot politician in his hotel in Rivers State

A young politician and community mobilizer from Ebubu, Eleme Local Government Area of Rivers State, Samuel Obe Ngobe, was killed by suspected assassins.

According to DAILY POST, the incident took place on May 22 when the assailants entered a hotel owned by Ngobe and shot him dead.

The two masked attackers arrived on a motorbike, approached Ngobe directly, and opened fire.

It was also reported that the assailants confiscated cell phones from hotel staff to prevent an alarm from being raised.

When contacted by DAILY POST on Monday, Agabe Blessing Kaborlo, Police Public Relations Officer of the Rivers State Command, confirmed the killing.

The PPRO said, “Investigation is ongoing on the matter.”
