Trump outlines next steps if Iran breaches the Hormuz deal.

President Donald Trump said he would take necessary action if Iran fails to honor its agreement with Washington.

Trump made the statement on Monday during a briefing with reporters at the White House.

"If Iran doesn’t live up to their agreement, or if they’re not behaving, I will do what I have to do," Trump said.

Last week, Trump and Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi signed an interim U.S.–Iran deal, more than three months after the United States and Israel launched attacks on Iran, which in turn prompted strikes on Israel and Gulf states that host U.S. bases.

Trump explained that Iran was expected to use the funds being unfrozen to purchase food exclusively from the United States.

Daily Post reports that U.S.–Israeli attacks on Iran and Israeli strikes in Lebanon have killed thousands and displaced millions.

The conflict has also disrupted global markets and pushed up oil prices worldwide.
