Transfer: Haaland’s father Alfie, agent Rafaela Pimenta clarify Real Madrid agreement reports

Erling Haaland’s father, Alfie, and his agent, Rafaela Pimenta, have addressed rumors that Real Madrid had reached a transfer agreement for the Manchester City striker.

Haaland’s name has recently surfaced in Spanish media.

The reports followed a statement by Enrique Riquelme, a candidate for Real Madrid’s presidency, who said he already had an agreement with the Norwegian international to sign a contract if he were elected.

Riquelme’s comment sparked enough confusion that Alfie and Pimenta issued a joint clarification.

“All very entertaining but not true. We wish all the best for both candidates in the Real Madrid election,” the statement reads.

Haaland signed a new long‑term contract with Manchester City in January 2025, keeping him at the Premier League club until June 2034.
