On Friday, a group of residents in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, organized a protest demanding the resignation of President Bola Tinubu.

The demonstrators, mainly young people, urged eligible voters to obtain their Permanent Voters Card (PVC) before the 2027 general elections.

A circulating video clip shows the protesters chanting, “get your voter cards, Tinubu must go.”

Daily Post reports that a series of demonstrations took place nationwide on Friday as Nigerians observed Democracy Day on June 12, 2026.

In Lagos and Abuja, the EndBadGovernance protest was led by human rights lawyer Femi Falana, activist Omoyele Sowore, and several celebrities.
