On Tuesday, Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), announced that President Bola Tinubu is dedicated to improving the welfare of citizens across Nigeria.

President Tinubu addressed the ceremony marking the start of construction for Collector Road CO1, which will run from the Nile University area to Ring Road III, extending the Body of Benchers road.

According to Wike: “Mr President, let me once again join the Executive Secretary of the FCDA in flagging off the construction of Arterial C01 Nile University.

“This morning you flagged off the construction of the Southern Parkway and this afternoon again, you have made out time to be with us to also flag off Arterial road CO1 Nile University Ring road 3.

“That of course shows how committed you are to the welfare of citizens and residents of Abuja.

“Your Excellency as you are coming, let it be known to the body of Benchers that the road is one of those commissioned in this third year anniversary.”

The Minister added that once finished, the road would help relieve traffic congestion in the vicinity.

“Our attention was drawn by the body of Benchers during the call to bar of our legal practitioners in the last call to bar.

“The Chairman Body of Benchers pleaded with the FCT Administration because of the taxi problems coming for bar ceremony that would be necessary for that road to be put in place and we did that and we are happy to have completed that. Today we will continue with this so that we no longer have jog jam.

“So those who would be coming to the bar or body of benchers or court institution area, that is the best way I can cover up,” he added.
