Tinubu Cannot Halt the Fragmentation of Atiku’s Manifesto, Says Olarenwaju on Constitutional Amendment Bill

Demola Olarenwaju, Senior Political Assistant of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), said that President Bola Tinubu cannot prevent the fragmentation of his principal’s 2019/2023 manifesto points.

Olarenwaju warned that Tinubu’s actions are likely to backfire.

The comments came after Tinubu transmitted a constitutional amendment bill to the Senate.

Posting on X, Olarenwaju wrote: “Bola Tinubu cannot continue to balkanise the well-reasoned, coherent and clearly articulated Atiku 2019/2023 manifesto points this way and expect it not to backfire on the larger society eventually:”

“State Police is only good enough when implemented under True Federalism that guarantees improved funding for all states and an independent state legislature performing its oversight responsibilities on the executive arm. Implementing State Police at this time is handing greater weapons to failed Governors now congregated in APC.”
