Former France striker Thierry Henry criticized Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo after the national team drew 1-1 with DR Congo in their 2026 World Cup opener on Wednesday.

Henry said Ronaldo seemed more focused on personal performance than on supporting the team.

The Frenchman also examined a second‑half sequence involving Joao Cancelo and Bruno Fernandes, noting that Ronaldo intercepted the play and missed the target.
