The Swiss Football Association has disclosed details about the training and accommodation site the national team will use as it prepares for the 2026 World Cup in the United States.
The official map released by the Swiss team shows that their base is located at the Jewish Academy in San Diego, California. The facilities include a clearly marked area officially labeled as a “snake area,” intended to warn players and staff of potential snake presence.
Alerta News 24 reported that this designation is meant to alert players, coaching staff, and all accompanying personnel about the risk of snakes in that part of the sports complex, and to encourage heightened caution when moving around the site.
This announcement comes as international teams ramp up logistical and technical preparations for what is expected to be the largest World Cup in history. The Swiss squad will have to manage this unusual challenge while training ahead of their competitive matches.
