Super Falcons: Galatasaray, PSG Players Join Madugu’s 23 for WAFCON 2026 Preparatory Games Against Senegal

Super Falcons coach Justin Madugu has announced a 23‑woman squad for Nigeria’s upcoming WAFCON 2026 preparatory friendlies against Senegal, according to Afrik‑Foot.

The 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations will begin in July, and all qualified teams are deep in preparation.

Nigeria are the defending champions, having claimed a tenth title last year in Morocco. They will be looking to add another trophy to their cabinet.

The team has been inactive since March, drawing criticism from parts of the Nigerian media. They are set to return to action next month with two friendly fixtures against the Teranga Lionesses of Senegal.

Ahead of the games, coach Madugu has named a squad dominated by foreign‑based stars. Notable names include PSG duo Jennifer Echegini and Rasheedat Ajibade, Benfica’s Christy Ucheibe, AS Roma’s Shukurat Oladipo, and Asisat Oshoala, who currently plays for Al Hilal.
