Super Eagles player Tolu Arokodare told to leave Wolves.

Super Eagles striker Tolu Arokodare has been advised to look for new opportunities after Wolverhampton Wanderers signed Mexican forward Raul Jimenez.

Chris Gallagher noted that Jimenez’s arrival could signal the end of Arokodare’s time at Wolves.

Arokodare joined Wolves following a productive spell in Belgium, where he scored 23 goals and supplied seven assists in 45 appearances across all competitions.

However, he was unable to replicate that form in the Premier League, and Wolves ended the season in relegation, dropping to the Championship.

In an article for Football League World, Gallagher suggested that Arokodare’s struggles may have stemmed from the club’s failure to play to his strengths, adding that the Nigerian international could regain his best form in the Championship.

He wrote, “It could be argued that Wolves didn’t play to Arokodare’s strengths, and, in the Championship he could be more effective. But, with Raul Jimenez joining, the Mexican is certain to be the main number nine. Plus, Sasa Kalajdzic is back at the club, and Peixoto may want to bring in his own players.”
