Super Eagles goalkeeper Maduka Okoye declines Nigerian billionaire’s daughter, Oma Akatugba.

Sports journalist Oma Akatugba claims that Super Eagles goalkeeper Maduka Okoye once declined the advances of a Nigerian billionaire’s daughter.

According to Akatugba, the incident occurred while Okoye was still playing for Sparta Rotterdam in the Dutch league.

The journalist said he visited the goalkeeper and saw a message from the billionaire’s daughter after Okoye showed him his phone.

He tried to persuade Okoye to consider the woman, noting her wealthy background, but the goalkeeper replied that she was not his ideal match.

On his X handle, Akatugba wrote, “On day I was at Maduka’s place while he was still living in Holland, and he showed me his phone. He had a message from the daughter of a Nigerian billionaire. I screamed, ‘Bro, this one ma big fish o!’ He laughed and said, ‘Yeah, but she’s not really in my league beauty-wise.’”

Daily Post reports that many Nigerian women have publicly expressed admiration for Okoye since his debut for the Super Eagles in 2019, praising his looks and physique.

Okoye eventually revealed that he had a girlfriend after the advances became overwhelming.

Maduka Okoye is in a long‑term relationship with Dutch model Jelicia Westhoff, and the couple have a son named Isaiah Emil Okoye.
