Super Eagles striker Akor Adams has been heavily linked with a move away from Sevilla in recent months, Afrik-Foot reports.
The 26‑year‑old Nigerian forward joined Sevilla from Montpellier in January 2025. After a difficult start in Seville, he has found his rhythm and become a key figure for Los Nervionenses.
Adams was arguably the club’s best performer last season, scoring ten goals and providing three assists in 32 appearances. Despite the team’s managerial instability, he remained their main goal threat.

Sevilla appear willing to do business, largely due to financial constraints. Les Nervionenses have valued the Nigerian striker at around €25 million.
A sale this summer would definitely help them with the necessary liquidity to comply with La Liga’s stringent financial regulations and still add one or two players to their squad in the summer.

It appears Sevilla are prepared to part ways with Akor Adams should an interested club meet their €25 million valuation. As a result, the club has started scouting for attacking reinforcements this summer, with Vamos Mi Sevilla reporting that they have set their sights on veteran striker Joselu.
The 36‑year‑old’s contract with Qatari top‑flight club Al Gharafa expires this summer. But although Joselu has been away from Spanish football for two years, he boasts an impressive La Liga CV, having recorded 68 goals and 16 assists in 199 appearances across five different clubs.

Last season, Adams’ work rate was key to Sevilla’s attack; he was a tireless presence who consistently pressed and created opportunities even when not on the scoresheet. It is unlikely that Joselu can replicate that level of energy consistently at his age.
