Senator Adamu Aliero emerges APC flag bearer for Kebbi central

Senator Adamu Aliero has been confirmed as the All Progressives Congress (APC) flag‑bearer for the Kebbi Central senatorial district after a consensus was reached among party stakeholders.

The decision was announced on Monday at the Haliru Abdu Stadium in Birnin‑Kebbi during the party’s senatorial primary, which was attended by Governor Nasir Idris and other senior APC officials.

All other aspirants for the Kebbi Central ticket withdrew from the contest, clearing the way for Aliero to become the consensus candidate.

Garba Muhammad, Chairman of the APC Primary Election Committee in Kebbi State, said the candidate emerged through a consensus process and praised Governor Idris for bringing party members together and ensuring a smooth exercise.

Governor Idris noted that every senatorial candidate across the state’s three districts was selected by consensus after other aspirants stepped down in the interest of party unity.

After his affirmation, Senator Aliero thanked Governor Idris and other party leaders for their support and confidence. He pledged to focus on empowerment programmes and initiatives that would improve the welfare of the people if elected.
