SEC Grants New Licences to BGL Firms, Approves Their Return to Capital Markets

The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has issued new approvals to three BGL Group companies, allowing them to resume activities in major areas of Nigeria's capital market.

Each approval came in a separate letter from the Commission, authorizing BGL Securities Limited to act as a Broker/Dealer, BGL Capital Limited as an Issuing House, and BGL Asset Management Limited as a Fund/Portfolio Manager.

These approvals mark the firms’ return to active participation in Nigeria’s capital market after completing the registration and compliance procedures required by the Commission.

A letter signed by Mrs. Hafsat O. Rufai, Director of Registration, Exchanges and Market Infrastructure, confirmed BGL Securities Limited’s registration as a Broker/Dealer, effective April 17, 2025.
