RMAFC Praises A’Ibom for Visionary Leadership, Highlights State’s Significant Impact on Nigeria

The Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission, RMAFC, praised the Akwa Ibom State Government for its good governance and economic contribution.

Prof. Olusegun Adekunle Wright, speaking in Uyo, the state capital, described Governor Umo Eno’s leadership as “purposeful” and the state’s economic impact as “significant.”

Wright, who was visiting Governor Eno at Government House, Uyo, highlighted Akwa Ibom’s important role in Nigeria’s economic well‑being.

He called the state a symbol of resilience, enterprise and purposeful leadership, noting that it has consistently ranked among Nigeria’s top contributors to national development.

Wright commended the people for their strong sense of industry, peaceful nature, entrepreneurial spirit and unwavering commitment to excellence.

He praised the state’s emergence as a model of transformational governance through sustained investment in infrastructure, healthcare, education, aviation, tourism and human‑capital development.

Wright said the state’s achievements demonstrate what can be achieved through prudent resource management, visionary leadership and the collective determination of a people united by a common aspiration for progress.

He explained that his team was in the state for the South‑South verification and data‑collection exercise to standardise and improve national financial service delivery and the commission’s mandate.

Wright thanked the state government for its ongoing support and collaboration with RMAFC to ensure the commission’s objectives are met in the state.

Governor Eno welcomed the RMAFC team, assured them of a smooth stay and pledged his administration’s backing for a successful exercise.

He thanked RMAFC for its positive remarks and pledged further development initiatives for the benefit of the people.

The governor also acknowledged the timely release of improved funds by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, which will enable states to undertake quality development projects to improve citizens’ fortunes.

Deputy Governor Senator Akon Eyakenyi, Secretary to the State Government Prince Enobong Uwah, Head of Civil Service Mrs. Elsie Peters, Executive Assistant/Chief Delivery Advisory to the Governor Mr. Aniefiok Johnson, commissioners and other government officials joined the governor in receiving the RMAFC team.

The RMAFC delegation included Federal Commissioners Barr Imo Akpan, Hon. Rakiya Tanko Ayuba‑Haruna, Prof. Steve Ugba, Mr. Modu Aji‑Juluri, several directors and other agency officials.
