Ghana head coach Carlos Queiroz expects a tough test against Colombia in their FIFA World Cup 2026 Round of 32 match, Completesports.com reports.

The West Africans finished third in Group L after a 2‑1 loss to Croatia on Saturday night.

It was Ghana’s first defeat of the tournament, following one win and one draw in their opening two games.

Colombia topped Group K after a 0‑0 draw with Portugal in their final group match.

Queiroz Anticipates Tough Colombia Test

Queiroz said the knockout stage brings a higher level of intensity.

“I have just told my players that the real world championship starts in the next round,” Queiroz said after the game against Croatia.

“The group stage is the warming‑up and qualification for the next round is like a credit card but now you have to start paying. Everything goes to the winner, every game is drama, nobody can hide.”

Ghana will face Colombia at the Kansas City Stadium on Sunday, 5 July.
