The South‑East Woman Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mrs. Oby Ajih, has announced that her party expects a decisive win across the entire South‑East region in the 2027 election.

Speaking in Umuahia at the mid‑year prayer and widows’ empowerment programme organized by the Abia APC Woman Leader, Ajih said the defeats the APC suffered in the South‑East during the 2015, 2019 and 2023 presidential elections would not be repeated.

She attributed the shift to the performance of President Bola Tinubu in the South‑East and other parts of the country, stating that any negative perception held by residents has changed. According to Ajih, the APC will secure more votes at every polling unit in the South‑East.

Ajih also addressed rumors that kidnapped Otu pupils and their teachers had been abandoned in captivity, assuring parents that the Federal Government is employing the best strategies to secure their release.

“The children are not dead. They will not die. They will come out and they will be rescued by the grace of God,” Mrs. Ajih said.

At the same event, the APC Woman Leader in Abia State, Mrs. Cecilia Erondu, noted that all widows in the Abia APC gathered to pray for an end to insecurity in the country and for good health for President Bola Tinubu and other APC candidates.

Mrs. Erondu explained that the support items given to the widows were intended to improve their livelihoods.
