President Federation Cup: Osanga laments Nasarawa United’s exit

Nasarawa United captain King Osanga expressed his disappointment after the team’s exit from the President Federation Cup, according to DAILY POST.

The Solid Miners were eliminated in the semi‑finals after a 4‑2 penalty shootout loss to Ikorodu City at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City on Wednesday.

The match finished 1‑1 after regulation time. Ayoola Ibrahim gave Ikorodu City the lead in the 11th minute, while Bright Amadi equalised for Nasarawa United four minutes before the break.

Osanga could not hide his frustration following the elimination.

“This truly hurts, no doubts. We wanted to bring a trophy home for our great supporters and fans, but look at the journey,” Osanga told the club’s media.

“We have grown, we have competed with the best, and we have built something here.”

“Everyone is hurt, but we have to put the pains of this behind us and rebuild ahead of next season.”
