Former chairman of the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC), Sam Amadi, has called the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate Peter Obi and his supporters the most transformative force in Nigerian politics over the past two and a half decades.
Amadi said that Obi and his followers have injected new ideas, energy and vigor into the political landscape.
In a post on X, Amadi urged Obi and his supporters to remain steadfast and push harder in 2027.
He wrote: “@PeterObi and his Obidients have been the most transformative force in Nigerian politics in the two and a half decades.”
“The energies, the disruption and the ideas and vehemence they brought to Nigerian politics have parallels only in the 1960s.”
“It does not mean they are good or bad people. It means they have been immensely transformative. Any serious and fair‑minded political scientist will admit this.”
“They should be resolute and press harder in 2027.”
