Peter Obi: “As president, I will offer peace to those who seek it and war to those who demand it.”

The Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate Peter Obi stated that, if elected president, he would offer peace to those who seek it and confront war to those who pursue it.

Obi made the remarks on Tuesday during an interview on the Nevon HQ podcast, hosted by journalist and media personality Rufai Oseni.

He was responding to questions about how he would address insecurity in Nigeria.

"I will engage with everyone. In uniting the country, those who want peace, I will talk and negotiate with them. But those who want war, we will go to war," Obi said.

"If you want to be part of the New Nigeria we are trying to build, that is possible; we can be together. But if not, you will face the consequences of your actions," he added.

"We have reached a point where we must tell ourselves the truth. Nobody will be left behind. There will be inclusiveness. We will show love and care for everybody," Obi concluded.
