Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has reportedly urged his international teammate Ademola Lookman to consider a move to Turkish giants Galatasaray ahead of the 2026 summer transfer window.
Lookman joined Spanish club Atlético Madrid from Atalanta during the winter transfer window after attracting interest from several top European clubs.
Since arriving at the Wanda Metropolitano, the Nigerian forward has quickly settled into La Liga, scoring nine goals and providing four assists in 24 matches across all competitions.
Despite his strong performances in Spain, rumors about his future have intensified, with speculation that he could join Turkish champions Galatasaray.
A transfer would reunite him with fellow Super Eagles star Victor Osimhen, who has become a key player for the Istanbul‑based club.
According to reports from Fotomaç, Osimhen has personally encouraged Lookman to make the move to Turkey, highlighting the close camaraderie and family atmosphere within the Galatasaray squad.
In statements relayed through Habersarikirmizi, Osimhen said: “We are waiting for you at Galatasaray. Come and be a part of this family.”
If the transfer materialises, Lookman would significantly boost Galatasaray’s attacking options for the 2026/27 season.
The Nigerian winger could also be viewed as a potential successor to Argentine forward Mauro Icardi, whose future at the club remains uncertain amid rumours of a possible exit from Istanbul this summer.
