Edo North lawmaker and Senator Adams Oshiomhole disclosed that President Bola Tinubu had relocated abroad during the previous administration to escape humiliation linked to certain policies of the late President Muhammadu Buhari.

Speaking on Sunday in an interview with The Mic On Podcast, Oshiomhole said Tinubu was effectively shut out by the former administration.

He explained that, while Tinubu was the national leader of the All Progressives Congress at the time, he was uneasy with some of Buhari’s policies and the appointments he made.

“Tinubu stood with Buhari even when he was ignored. Tinubu relocated so that he could be free from the humiliation arising from either the choice of policy, the appointment of people, or some of the decisions Buhari was taking,” Oshiomhole said.

“Remember that the first pronouncement of Buhari was that I belong to everybody and I belong to nobody,” he added.

Reports have indicated that Tinubu spent a significant amount of time in France while Buhari was in office.
