Franklin Nechi, chairman of Optiva Capital Partners, reaffirmed the firm’s dedication to helping Africans build wealth, create opportunities, and secure lasting legacies through global access, strategic investments, and purpose‑driven growth.
During an interactive media session, Nechi explained that Optiva’s vision extends beyond investment‑immigration services to encompass healthcare, women’s empowerment, wealth retention, and support for Africa’s burgeoning creative economy.
“At Optiva, we do not see profit and purpose as competing priorities. They reinforce each other. Businesses that create access, opportunity, and agency will define Africa’s future,” he said.
Highlighting the company’s healthcare initiatives, Nechi noted, “Wealth without health is meaningless. If a family loses a mother or child to a preventable condition, no amount of financial success can compensate for that loss.” He added that Optiva has invested in healthcare infrastructure and maternal care, arguing that sustainable wealth creation depends on improved health outcomes.
On women’s empowerment, Nechi revealed that more than 70 percent of Optiva’s workforce are women, many in leadership roles. “It was intentional, but not for optics. It was for performance. Women play a central role in investment decisions, family wealth planning, education, and healthcare spending across Africa. Any company that ignores this reality is ignoring one of the continent’s most important economic shifts,” he said.
Addressing Africa’s creative economy, Nechi described the sector as one of the continent’s strongest growth drivers. “The creative economy is one of Africa’s strongest exports. It creates jobs, attracts investment, and enables young Africans to earn globally while building wealth locally,” he stated. He added that Optiva supports creatives by helping them access global markets, secure mobility opportunities, and structure assets for long‑term value creation.
Nechi emphasized that the company’s mission goes beyond securing second citizenships for clients. “We do not simply sell passports or properties. We help Africans build the structures that allow them to operate confidently across borders, diversify assets, expand businesses, and secure their families’ futures,” he said.
