Supporters of Peter Obi and Rabi’u Kwankwaso, operating under the OK Movement, have called for President Bola Tinubu’s resignation.
The movement issued the statement on its verified X account on Tuesday.
The call followed Obi’s demand that Tinubu step down. Obi, the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC) presidential candidate for the 2027 general elections, cited the recent resignation of British Prime Minister Keir Starmer as an example.
The OK Movement asserted that Nigeria deserves competent and accountable leadership.
“The OK Movement joins His Excellency Peter Obi and millions of Nigerians in calling for the resignation of President Tinubu,” the statement read.
“Our nation cannot continue to endure the consequences of ineffective leadership and poor governance,” it added.
“Nigeria deserves competent, accountable leadership. Nigeria must be OK,” the movement concluded.
