The Odu’a Investment Company Limited (OICL) reported a profit before tax of N23.58 billion for the 2025 financial year, a 410 percent rise from the N4.62 billion recorded in 2024.
Group Chairman Bimbo Ashiru announced the figures at OICL’s 44th Annual General Meeting in Ibadan. He attributed the sharp increase mainly to fair‑value gains of N18.81 billion on investment properties and a strong rally in the Nigerian stock market.
Ashiru added that operating revenue climbed 78 percent to N20.22 billion, up from N11.34 billion in 2024, and that the conglomerate achieved outstanding results across all key metrics despite the challenging macroeconomic environment of the year.
He said, “The year under review was marked by several strategic milestones that have permanently repositioned the organization.” He highlighted the commissioning of the historic Premier Hotel after an extensive remodelling project, noting that the hotel will begin full operations in the fourth quarter of 2026 and aims to become the city’s most iconic hospitality destination.
Group Managing Director Abdulrahman Yinusa added that the Group has begun the process of obtaining its first foreign credit rating from a major international rating agency, a step that should enable access to international debt capital markets and attract foreign direct investment.
