NWFL Playoff: Blankson reacts to Rivers Angels’ win over Robo Queens

Rivers Angels head coach, Tosan Blankson, has commended the performance of Robo Queens in the five-goal thriller in their opening fixture at the 2025-26 Nigeria Women Football League, NWFL, Super Six playoff tournament.

The Port Harcourt-based side defeated Robo Queens 3-2 in a keenly contested encounter at the Yakubu Gowon Stadium on Saturday.

Blackson believed that his team played against one of the best teams in the NWFL.

“I want to commend both teams for their display in the game,” Blackson stated in a post-match interview.

“We knew the game was going to be tough because of their exploit in the group stage.

“Robo Queens had a very good fighting spirit, they must be commended.”
